I'm making ocean themed artwork!

I am using acrylics to make an art gallery all having to do with the ocean. My first paintings were of sand dunes on a beach with a boat in the background. I am not even going to attempt to paint people.

Songwriting

I will be writing songs for my stretch project. They will be for the guitar and voice. If anyone wants, I can probably figure out how to post recordings of the riffs and things I come up with.
My senior project is to make a CD, with Zak and a friend outside of school. We are writing two songs ourselves, and doing three cover songs. I can post recordings of those as well.

Tree artwork!

I am working on creating different pieces of art that all have to do with trees. My goal is to have a whole series of different tree pieces that are postcard size. I love to send letters to my friends, so I'll make color copies and use them as stationery!

I've been going to art class once a week, so that's where I'm doing most of my work. I will take pictures of some of the work and post it to the blog. The first piece I completed was an egg-tempera painting of a sunset. I drew the silhouettes of trees on top of the sunset with Sharpie marker. I'll post a picture soon.

What is your stretch?

Hi everyone! Leave a comment here or create your own post to start discussing how you'll stretch yourself creatively this semester.
